We expect a fix in place from MyDay software by the end of January 2026, the latest correspondence states "The issue is in the current engineering sprint and will be updated very shortly. The sprint runs until the 27th January, we expect to have it built and submitted for review by the Google Store before then. Once Google receives the submission, they typically review it within 1–3 days. "
The Student Portal 'MyHWU' Mobile App is not compatible with latest Android version, the software supplier MyDay is aware, and they are working on a software fix, refer to this status notice message for updates.
MyDay stated "we need to issue a new version since Google has released a new policy, which the app version needs to comply with.
The impact of this is only users who have never downloaded the app before and are on the latest Android version.
To resume operation, the impacted users can access your environment either via the web desktop or mobile client (mobile browser). Since users can access the content and services via a mobile browser, they can access all the content and services as they would on a standalone app. "
